However, in an interview with Congressional Quarterly, U.S Securities and Exchange Commissioner, Robert Jackson Jr. said that a Bitcoin ETF is on the horizon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drew Hinkes, a Twitter user with the news platform &#8216;Athena Blockchain&#8217;, made the news public, even though the interview is expected to be made public by Feb 11. Drew tweeted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/SEC?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#SEC<\/a> Commissioner Jackson in an interview to be published next weeks is optimistic that a &quot;fund based on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#bitcoin<\/a>&quot; will eventually be approved, expresses concern about the proposed ETFs submitted to date. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3BCuiBd4CB\">pic.twitter.com\/3BCuiBd4CB<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Drew Hinkes (@propelforward) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/propelforward\/status\/1092781181555355648?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 5, 2019<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The SEC commissioner admitted that presently it seems difficult for the Commission to approve a <a href=\"https:\/\/techcavit.com\/cboe-has-resubmitted-vaneck-solidx-bitcoin-etf\/\">Bitcoin ETF<\/a>, but that it will be aired. Robert Jackson said: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cGetting the stamp of approval from the deepest and most liquid capital markets in the world is hard, and it should be. Once we put the stamp of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on an investment; once we make it available to everyday mom and pop investors, we are taking risks that Americans can get hurt.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In summation, Robert gave some reasons why previous applications for Bitcoin ETF was not approved like that of Winklevoss twins, Tyler and Cameron, and also how recent applications is almost meeting up to the standard they set. Robert said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cI\u2019m happy to say market participants have begun to come in with ideas. Whether or not we\u2019re going to find one that really protects investors I don\u2019t know, but I do know that that case wasn\u2019t especially close.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, the most renowned and hopeful approval of the new year, the VanEck Solid Bitcoin Trust was withdrawn and then resubmitted after signs came that it could be rejected on Jan 23. Robert added<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cEventually, do I think someone will satisfy the standards that we\u2019ve laid out there?
