The last time tweeted about Dogecoin was in mid-March:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cI\u2019m getting a Shiba Inu #restistanceisfutile.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tweet also comes a month after Elon<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1364563280522453005?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\"> tweeted<\/a> a meme of a Shiba Inu standing on the moon in a spacesuit while holding a Dogecoin flag, followed by the words, \u201cliterally\u201d and \u201con the actual moon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-elon-musk-and-dogecoin\"><strong>Elon Musk and Dogecoin<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Elon\u2019s ability to influence bitcoin and Dogecoin\u2019s price actions by merely tweeting about it has been both acclaimed and criticized for boosting crypto adoption and hindering mainstream acceptance, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dogecoin has a total circulating supply of 129 billion Doge and an undefined maximum supply, unlike Bitcoin. Analysts including Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao have warned investors against exposing themselves to assets with infinite amounts of supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Elon\u2019s influence and Dogecoin\u2019s price action in the past 6 months have inspired its developers to revamp its development. Speaking during an<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/dogecoin-surging-price-resurrected-technical-development\"> interview<\/a>, Dogecoin\u2019s lead developer Ross Nicoll said the team is working to make changes to Doge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cPeople say it\u2019s a joke coin but we\u2019re very careful to take care of the code.
